Xmas Kitty

It's seems like forever since I done a challenge at Lasting Memories.  I've been way to busy December getting ready for Christmas, girl scouts and sick kid.  But I was able to get a layout done.

Since it was Sebastian's first Christmas with us, we took him to Petsmart to get his picture taken with Santa. I'm not sure if he liked it or not but I do know he did not like the wait in line with all those big dogs.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory RCS-#17

It's the last challenge of the year at Red Carpet Studio and it is an anything sweet project.  It is open to our layout and card friends.

This week's sponsor is Vampire Craftin - http://www.etsy.com/shop/VampireCraftin.  You should check her out.  She redid my blog, isn't it pretty.

My layout has a story behind it.  This is the one time a picture is not worth a 1,000 words.  My Chinese Water Dragon, Stitch, was out on my kitchen table with me while I was making some gift bags for Christmas gift cards.  He usually just lays in one spot and sometimes he will move a little.  Stitch ran, like the retarded dinosaur that my daughter says, right to the plate of cookies.  I moved it away from him so he won't go on top of the plate.  A few seconds later he did the same thing but I was too slow.  As I moved the plate away, he had grab one of the cookies.  The cookie broke off and he actually ate the small piece in his mouth.  It was the funniest thing I had ever seen.  Don't worry he is just fine, he looked a little hype right after he ate it but is back to his normal mopey self.

I knew right away that this was the sweet challenge layout that I was going to do.  I hope you enjoy.

Go over to the Red Carpet Studio facebook page and check out the really cool 200 like prize.

I mustache you a ?

Everyone know that 'staches are the big thing right now.  Quincie made it popular with her hand person (Mr. Meatloaf) that a mustache.  After she made him, you saw those 'staches everywhere.

I did this layout for Lasting Memories ( to use stamps) and Another freaking scrappy challenge (sketch).

RCS # 12 ~ Famous Pets

It is the layout's team week at Red Carpet Studio,  so this week challenge is inspired by famous pet movies.  I really have no clue what my favorite pet movie is but I do love some of those supporting roles the animals play.  Like in Christmas Vacation, where the squirrel is in the tree and Snot chases him around the house.

But as everyone knows that follow my blog, I have several famous (to me) pets in the house.  I decided to do a layout with Sebastian.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Stamp-n-Doodle! The winner will receive two digital stamps of their choice.

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the layout design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the layouts and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions.

Sketch with color

Here is a brand new blog, Sketch with color.  I've just finished the second challenge with is the sketch with a Halloween theme to it.  I still had the pictures of the no so haunted hayride that we went on.  I really enjoyed doing this layout since I love Halloween so very much.

Hello Kitty

This is for this week's sketch at Let's Get Sketchy

I found this really cool Hello Kitty paper and embellishments at Micheal's the other day.  I had to get it since everyone loves Hello Kitty.  It goes perfect with my kitty except Sebastian is a boy.  But I don't think he really cares as long as he gets his treats.

Sketch~N~Scrap DT Call

I just applied for Sketch~N~Scrap Design Team.  I really do love sketch challenges and I miss it not being on Twisted Sketches anymore.  So cross your fingers.

Here is the sketch that I had to use.

Here is a few random pictures of the goofy cat.  I joke around that I am going to change his name to "What The Hell, Cat"  Because he always runs around high on catnip.  He like to try to trip us too.

Let's Get Sketchy Hop

Let's Get Sketchy is having their first Fall Blog Hop.  There are many ways to win.  One is to use the color palette for a project.

I remember that many years ago I bought the Friendly Forest Collections form Michaels.  That was perfect.  I used one of the goofy pictures of the cat for the layout.  He is sitting on my scrapbooking chair.  He sits there more than me.

If you've come from Robin's blog, you're in the right place.

For today's hop, I made...

A Turkey Box

I painted the to of my turkey box with Luminarte Twinklings H20.  I used a gold, red and orange and blended them together.  I used fall pattern paper for around the box.  The turkey was cut from the create a critter cricut cartridge, of course I had to use my stickles to embellish him.  I also painted the ric rac, wooden letters and crochet flower with a brown twinkling.  I just looked in my stash of goodies to decorate the rest of the lid of the box.

Follow my blog and one of my lucky followers will win this box.  It's perfect for name cards so everyone in your big family will know where to sit.  :)

Good Luck and have fun hopping!!

Time for a walk

Here my crazy daughter decided to take the cat for a walk.  They did not go very far, Sebastian just wanted to go back into the house.

This is for the sketch challenge at Paper Secrets

DT- Lift Off

I'm sad that I am no long the guest DT at Lasting Memories.  I had a blast with my crazy layouts.  You girls have to tell me when it is time for a DT call.

Here is Quincie and her baby.  She love Sebastian so very much.  He loves her right back.  I can't believe we had him for almost 2 1/2 months already.

I had lifted Toni's layout.  I hope you love it, Toni!!!!

Out of it

I think Sebastian is so adorable when he sleeps.  So sweet and innocent.  He is really a good cat, he loves to be petted all day long.

This layout is for Sketches With A Twist, the twist is to use stamping.  I stamped small flowers on the top and put pearls in the center.

For Scrap Our Stash I had to use pieces of torn paper.

RCS #10 - Clean and Simple

Our challenge this week at Red Carpet Studio is a layout challenge - create a CAS-style layout. CAS stands for Clean and Simple, meaning not a lot of details, embellishments, etc.

It was hard for me to do a CAS layout, I need enough embellishment to cover most of the page.

Quincie's goofy cat like to lean up again the walls and door.  He really looks like an idiot, but we still love him.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is The Paper Parade! They will be providing the winner with a $25 gift certificate.

Monster Mash

I work with the sketch over at Stuck On Us Sketches.  Here is what this week's sketch looks like.

So, I stayed with the Halloween theme when I did my layout.  This is from the haunted hayride we went on.  It really was not scary at all except for the disco dancing clowns.

My little gliders

It's team A's turn at Child's Play Challenges.  And our challenge is My Little Pony.  For some strange reason my 11 yr old daughter is totally in those toys again.  Thanks Hot Topics for the shirts.

 My Little Pony Jewelled Ponies

I thought it would be funny to do a My little gliders page since they are one of the littlest animals in this house.  It has also be a while since I did a page with Edgar and Penelope.  I've been doing alot of cats layouts.

Shelling out

If you are here for the ABC Ransom Blog Hop click here.

It's my last week at the guest design team member at Lasting Memories.  I really enjoyed myself this past month and I hope the other girls loved having me. :)  This week's challenge is Shelling Out, either a beach theme or a Halloween theme(shelling out candy).  I choose the Halloween theme because it is my favorite holiday and I love all the cool scrapbooking paper out there.

Our not so little Sebastian has been with us for two months now.  We adopted him from the rescue shelter that my daughter and I volunteer at.  I feel sorry for Sebastian because we bought three different superhero costumes, fairy wings and a princess hat.  But he really likes wearing these costumes.  Here he is being the Hulk.  Sebastian looks like he is ready for some action.

Red Carpet Studio's ABC Ransom Blog Hop

Welcome to the ABC Ransom Blog Hop,
hosted by Red Carpet Studio!

If you've come from Tonya 's blog, you're in the right place.
The Red Carpet Studio designers thought it would be fun to host a mystery blog hop while showcasing projects that can be made using all those leftover letters in your stash - hence where the "ransom" comes in. Ransom notes play a huge role in mystery/suspense films, and are often created out of random letters cut from magazines, newspapers, etc. in order to disguise handwriting.

While we won't be doing any kidnapping or holding anybody ransom today - we do have some creative projects to share with you!

For my project using leftover letters in my stash, I created...

BATKITTY

I actually used four different kinds of letters on this layout.  The word "batkitty" is a combo of two different packs of wooden letters from Pink Paislee that I painted with Luminarte Twinklings H20.

We're also holding some blog candy ransom! However, the blog candy is hidden, and only certain stops of the hop are hiding it. The only way you can win is if you comment on those blogs! Now, we're not going to tell you whose blogs those are (that would be too easy) but we will tell you what the prizes are!
$20 Gift Certificate

$10 Gift Certificate
$10 Gift Certificate

There will be three winners. Please make sure to leave your contact information when commenting so we can contact you if you win. You have until next Saturday, November 3rd, to hop and comment. Winners will be announced with the start of our next layout challenge on Sunday November 4th at Red Carpet Studio.

And don't forget to check out this week's challenge at Red Carpet Studio! Our challenge this week is inspired by "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and the challenge is to create any fall or Halloween card.

Your next stop is Stacey's blog.

P.S. My letters are...N
If you can put all the letters together from each stop of the hop (they're in order), you have a chance to win a mystery prize! Once you've figured out our hidden message, email it to redcarpetstudiochallenge@gmail.com. The mystery prize winner will be announced with the other winners on Sunday November 4th. HINT: The message is a clue as to what our next layout challenge will be. :)

Double Take

Here is my third week of being the guest dt at Lasting Memories.  This weeks challenge is the "double take".  Just have to have two of something in your layout.

Well, I have two of something, two fat ass animals.  LOL!!!  Edgar the sugar glider and Chubby the hamster.  Yes, I had to do this because it is just too funny to pass up these pictures.  Since I've taken these pictures, Edgar's ass has gotten bigger and Chubby has stayed the same.  Too much coconut treats for Edgar.

RCS # 8 - The Ring

The scary movies continue at Red Carpet Studio, the layout team theme this week is "The Ring".  We want to see those polka dots and circles.  Any size, any color.

I decided to use two title circles in my layout and lots of bling and brads.

This week's random winner will receive 5 digis of your choice from QKR Stampede.

Out of the Hat

Look at the picture below,  I had to use four of the items in this weeks Guest Design Team challenge at Lasting Memories.

For this crazy layout I did, I used Brads, Ribbon, Colors(orange), and Words/Phrases.  What are you going to pull out of the hat????

Eat your veggies!!

On our summer vacation, my family went to the Maryland Science Center.  In the "How the body works" room, there was a veggie statue.  Yes, my daughter and husband had to take crazy pictures with it.  I would of too but then they don't take any pictures of me.

I used the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for this layout.

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

It's Team A's turn over Child's Play Challenges.  We have the classic movie "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".  I really never was much of a Chuck Brown fan but I did like Snoopy because he was a beagle.

Quincie and her friends wanted to t.p. a house one Halloween. The neighbor said it was ok as long as they cleaned up the mess.  Her, her two girlfriends and his son had so much fun with the four rolls of toilet paper I gave them.  It sure was a night to remember.
