Lets play with crayons

This weeks challenge at Child's Play has to do with crayons. I used my luminarte twinklings h20 to paint the paper for my bright 8 pack of crayons. The photos I used were ones that Quincie took on her girl scout trip to Longwood Gardens. She really did a wonderful job on her photography badge.

Queen of my Craftroom Challenge

This is a new blog that I found and wanted to do their challenge. This weeks challenge is about family. Family game night with the lizards sounds like a winning layout to me.

I'm Twisted this week.

It's my week over at Twisted Sketches. Back in December, a few of my friends and I went to the Baltimore Aquarium. There was a jellyfish exhibit and those jellyfishes were really cool. I think I watch too much Spongebob Squarepants because "jellyfish field" popped in my head right away. Someone please help me.

Getting Picky @ Punky Scraps

The third challenge for this month was a pick three. I picked no pink, circles, and white paint. I really like how this layout turned out.

Quincie was Wednesday Addams for Halloween and I needed a title. Singing the song in my head, I realized very thing was too long for the title. Then I heard the snaps. I thought it would be funny to have the title be "Snap, Snap"

First Challenge at Child's Play

A few weeks ago I came across a new blog, Child's Play. It seemed really fun because there challenges have to with children's toys and books.

Their first challenge is Lincoln Logs. Well I don't have any pictures or anything else having to do with Lincoln Logs but what do you do with them? Of course build houses. I have pictures of Stitch playing Godzilla or actually me putting him on Quincie's Lego house. I thought it may work for the challenge.

Punky Scraps Challenge 41

The second challenge at Punky Scraps is a sketch. Oh I love doing sketches. This sketch was different, there was a skull with a mustache. Well when I saw that mustache, I knew exactly what to do. Quincie has her "hand" friend named Mr. Meatloaf. She even has a life story about him. Mr. Meatloaf is married to an Hawaiian woman who dances on pool tables, and has seven children right now. He is Italian and owns a pizza joint that is very expensive. He goes on business trips to Bahamas all the time while he leaves his wife home. And just yesterday I found out that he has a Russian sister-in-law.

Here is my take on the sketch. Thanks to Pinterest I found digi mustaches, I thought it would be perfect to cut out the stashes and use them as masks with my glimmer spray.

Enjoy!!

DIY Confetti Tape

The other day when I was looking at the Amy Tangerine pre-orders from a online scrapbooking store, I saw confetti tape. Wow I thought those are really cool but I had sticker shock. 3 12" pieces for $5, I could make that myself.

So I went into my box of scraps and with my regular old hole puncher from the office supply store, I decided to make it.

I cut 1/2 in strips of 12" paper and ran it through my xyron machine.

Using my hole puncher, I punched lots and lots of small circle. If you think you have enough, do more, this uses alot of those little circle. I used the basic colors of red, yellow, green, and blue. It's up to you what colors or patterns to use.

Then take your strip of sticky paper and sprinkle the confetti onto it. Don't worry, you won't get it all covered. I then used mod podge and painted the strip of confetti. Sprinkle more confetti onto the strip. Then very carefully take your brush and dab more of the mod podge onto the confetti.

After a few hours of drying, I have this beautiful and much cheaper confetti tape.

This was fun but messy and I love messy thing.

Let's Get Sketchy Mini Sketch

I really love to do sketches. I don't know why, maybe I don't have to think too much about it. I used February's Scrapbook Circle kit for this one. It was perfect because it does look like Edgar is flying a kit. He was just playing with Quincie and the kitty fishing rod. Go over to Let's Get Sketchy to check out the sketch.

Twisted Sketch 138

This weeks twist at Twisted Sketches really stumped me. It took me over a week to finally figure out how to incorporate the twist but I came up with an idea at last. Thank you to my little Edgar for the help.

Challenge on Punky Scraps

This weeks challenge on Punky Scraps is all about doodling and rainbows. I used my twinkings h20 to paint on scrap paper and cut out blocks. I really am in love with those paints. Up in the corner I used my sew easy and brads. Got to use that stash of brads up.

Amazing Glaze is my new favorite place

A few months ago, Quincie's scout troop went to a place called Amazing Glaze. You get to pick out your pottery, paint it and they will fire and glaze it. I've been there four times since then. Here is a layout of the girls having fun.
