RCS #5 - Disney

This weeks challenge at Red Carpet Studio is for both the layout girls and the card girls.  It's a Disney challenge, so get out those Tinkerbell stamps and Mickey cricut cartridges.  The RCS girls have lots of fabulous creations this week, including mine.

Every time my family goes to Disney world, Mark and I have to get on the Tower of Terror.  Quincie was big enough the last time so she was able to get on.  Right before it was our turn she chickened out, so Mark went on by himself.

This weeks prize is a $25 g.c. to The Paper Parade.  Good Luck!!!!

Royal

Here is a new layout I just did for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

Sketch challenge @ Sketchers

I really loves the new sketch at Sketchers.  I have taken a few pictures of the new cat.  It is hard to get a decent picture of him because he moves around so much.  After three weeks he is starting to get a little mischievous in the house.  I guess he knows that this is his permanent house and not a foster home that he was used too.

RCS #3 ~ Seeing Stars

Our challenge this week at Red Carpet Studio is a layout sketch. Our fabulous team worked with this sketch below to come up with their layouts.

Here is my layout starring our new cat Sebastian.

This week's prize to some lucky, random person is a $15 g.c from Scraptastical Kreations.

Pun Card

It's the card design teams week at Red Carpet Studios and I decided I was going to do the challenges because I really don't like to make cards.  This weeks challenge is "Pun".  I got out my Create a Critter cartridge, I don't know why but I had never used it before.  I came across the cat with the phrase "purrfect" and that was the purrfect pun to use.

I cut out the cat and painted him with my luminarte twinking h20 to match our new cat Sebastian.  I think he looks cute.

You still have time to join in, the challenge ends tonight and the winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to Design on Cloud 9.

It's in the Movies

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is a movie theme.  I had to use a quote, title or picture of a movie.  My family went to Maryland's Science Center a few weeks ago and they had a wet lab there.  Quincie got to wear a lab coat to do her experiments.  She was acting like Doctor Evil from the Austin Powers movies.  So there is my title.  Doctor Evil.

Art Supply Challenge

It's time for Team A's challenge over at Child's Play Challenge.   It's the good old number 2 pencil.  Remember when we had to take those standardize test in school and it had to be a #2 pencil.  I really wanted to use one of my colorful pencils but that was not allowed.

Here is my parents and Quincie on her 5th grade graduation day.  She won the 5th grade girls art trophy plus the presidential academics award.  I really don't know where she gets her smarts from .

Let's Get Sketchy #27

I really like this weeks sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.   So I decided to use two cute sleepy pictures of our brand new cat, Sebastian.  He is 5 years old and we just adopted him from a local rescue shelter that my daughter and I volunteer at.  He is an angel.  And he favorite place to sleep is my chair to my scrapbooking desk.  I guess I need to get myself a new chair.

Sketches with a Twist

It's been a while since I had alot of fun with sketches.  I really miss being on the Twisted Sketches team but I decided to give Sketches with a Twist a try.

The monthly twist is to use heat or dry embossing.  I went with the dry since I never have any luck with the embossing powder.  Here is this month's sketch.

Here is what I came up with.  I embossed my playing cards for this twist.

Lasting Memories scraplift

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to scraplift one of their Design Team.  I chose to "lift" Tina's layout for this week.

Quincie loves to go to T.G.I.Fridays for dinner.  And she really loves the old Batman TV show.  Especially Adam West because he is also in Family Guy.  The cape crusaders picture just happened to be in the booth where we were sitting so of course I had to take her picture with them.

RCS~#1 Silent Movie

Here we have the very first challenge at Red Carpet Studio Challenge Blog.  This challenge has to do with those very old silent movies.  You can not use ANY words or letters in this challenge, just pictures.  Do you know how hard that is to do when everyone is just used to having a title in their layout.  All the info you need to know will be on a clipboard every week.

The first and third weeks of the month will be the layout team and the second and fourth weeks will be a challenge from the card team.  Make sure you check out the blog every week.

This is my silent movie layout.

Here is this weeks prize.  A La Belle Vie Kit from Close to My Heart.  One person will be randomly selected to win.  Good Luck!!
