My layout for the blog hop

As you may know, Child's Play Challenges is having their first blog hop.  Along with the usual hopping to the creative team's blog, they also posted a special challenge.  I decided to use Mr. Bump from the Mr. Man Show as my inspiration.

I used Mr. Bump from the Mr. Man Show as my inspiration.  My layout is all about the blue and white.  It was hard to use a picture for "Mr." since I have a "Miss" in the house.  I really did not think my animals would really do for this page.  Here we have Quincie and the newest little girl in the house, Penelope.

Working on a couple of challenges

It's that time of year when I do nothing but work.  Six days a week at a job that I don't get a chance to sit down for a minute unless it lunch.  Oh well, I must like it since I've been there for 18 years.  I get very little time to do my scrapbook pages so there was a few challenges I wanted to do this week and I made a layout for both.

The sketch is from Let's Get Sketchy and the theme is from Child's Play Challenges.  The themes at Child's Play is Easy Bake Oven.  This past Christmas Mark and Quincie decide to make a gingerbread house.  I really would like to know who makes that house that is on the box.  Ours never looks anything like that.  It's the epic fail house.

Wild One

Come over and join the fun at Twisted Sketches.  I think most people will really enjoy the twist for this week.  It was easy for me, that's all I have to say.  I used my Halloween kit from Scrapbook Circle.  Why?  I really don't know but I do love all the Halloween papers.  I got tons and I want to start using up the stash of paper I have.

This is Chubby and she is doing on of her favorite things, trying to chew through the cage.  Oh, the other thing she loves to do is to put all her food in her wheel and run.  It sounds like she is making popcorn.

Punky sketch

Over the weekend we got a new family member.  A little girl named Penelope.  Yup, she's a sugar glider and is only eight weeks old.  Penelope is going to be Edgar's little sister but I think he has other plans.  Good thing he is fixed and there will be no little joeys around here. I decided to use their first family picture for the  sketch challenge at Punky Scraps.  I used my daydreamer kit from Scrapbook Circle.  I painted the flower at the bottom of the paper with my twinklings.

Getting Sketchy!!!

Its time for this weeks sketch at Lets Get Sketchy.  It was my big boys first birthday this past week and I made him a birthday hat.  But actually the hat looks like the Pope's hat.  It's really not that easy to make a birthday hat for a lizard. And no I did not make any cricket cakes for him.  LOL!!!

I made up my mine that I am going to use my stash that just sitting there collecting dust.  I pulled out the We R Memory birthday line from a few years ago.  I also painted my white flowers with twinkings.

Enjoy!!

Guest Designer @ Child's Play

I'm was so happy when I saw I was the guest designer over at Child's Play Challenges  .  That blog is so much fun.  This week's challenge is to take inspiration from the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz".  Right away I knew what I was doing.  Me being the crazy lizard lady and guess what rhymes with wizard.  That's right, I had to do a layout with my Stitch getting ready for a walk.  He was off to see the lizard.  Hahahaha.  I did use yellow twine for the yellow brick road.

Double duty layout

Over at Punky Scraps and Scrapbook Circle, the challenges are all about bright colors.  Since I just got my kit from Scrapbook Circle on Friday, which is full of bright colors, I decided to use it.  I can't tell you enough how much I really enjoy the Daydreamer kit.  Amy Tangerine line is my favorite so far this year.  If you want so bright, fun papers and embellishments, that's the line for you.

Here is my daughter's hamster, Chubby.  I just love that picture of her.

Getting sketchy again!

It's time for another challenge at Let's Get Sketchy.  I had my big boy Stitch up with me on my computer and he decided he was going to check out his facebook page.  Yes he does have a facebook page because my daughter wanted to make them up for the pets. I used my brand new kit from Scrapbook Circle, which I love very much this month. The Amy Tangerine line is so full of fun bright colors.  I'm in love with it.
As for the alpha, I used my twinklings and painted the white foam letters.  I love making my own color alphas.

Enjoy!

Color Me Scrappy!!!

Color Me Scrappy is a brand spanking new blog with fun color challenges.  For their first challenge we have some bright beach colors to play with.  Of course I scrapped my favorite little boy, Edgar in his treehouse.  He loves to jump in there right after he wakes up at night for a while before he get active.  He is getting cuter by the day.

I made my flowers with an old book and my sizzix machine and painted with my favorite watercolors, twinkling h20.

Enjoy
